It is free-branching with a moderately compact habit and bears its bracts on strong stems. 'Festival Red' will withstand abuse on the bench, during shipping and in the retail and home environment. Its large, wide bracts show off well developed cyathia that resist splitting and pre-mature drop. Consumers will love its dense, dark foliage habit and classic bract presentation. 'Festival Red' is versatile, it may be grown in pots 4" to 14" as a pinched crop or hanging basket.
Growing Tips
Temperature
Through September and October maintain a night time temperature of 65°F-67°F. Begin slowly reducing night temperature during November to 60°F-62°F.
Light
Grow at 4,000 to 5,000 foot-candles.
